According to a new report by USATODAY, Gartner believes that PC shipments will climb from 368 million units this year to more than 400 million units worldwide in 2013. This is such a high bar for the PC market to reach considering Apple only recently announced and unveiled its third-generation iPad, which is expected to propel the company to newer heights. Gartner believes that the bar has been set pretty high around Apple and now the PC market has to reach this bar. With anticipation building for Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8, the PC market may in fact surpass that bar.
