A UK TV Show, known as The Gadget Show have created the worlds first Battlefield 3 first person shooter simulator. The show brought together a number of different companies to create this simulator.

How much would you be willing to pay to have a FPS simulator in your home? How about $650,000? That’s how much this one was to make. The simulator was put together to play Electronic Arts per-release game Battlefield 3.

The final simulator will be shown on Channel 5, Monday night on The Gadget Show at 8PM. There is a teaser trailer below for those who can’t wait.

The shows directors brought together many different companies to help built this simulator, Igloo vision built the 360 degree screen, while MSE Weibull provided an portable omni-directional treadmill that was modified to make the game character move. It also involved a Kinect hack, 10 infra-red motion tracking cameras, and 12 paintball markers to help simulate the pain when shot.

This is probably one of the most intense type of shooting games you’ll ever witness. You can watch the trailer below.
