FreedomCase

There’s no shortage of protective cases for Surface tablets, but if you’re looking for an innovative case for your Surface 2 or Surface Pro 2, take a look at FreedomCase which is currently seeking funds on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter. The case provides users with several different viewing angles when using their Surface tablet, and also comes with kickstand and keyboard integration, allowing users to utilize the features of the Touch and Type covers. The case is approved by Microsoft, and is compatible with Surface, Surface Pro, Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2.

The project is seeking funds on Kickstarter, and the pledges have surpassed $127,000, though the funding goal was $40,000, with eight more days to go before it closes. So, you can rest assured the product is coming to the market. Apart from providing users with a wide range of viewing angles, the case provides protection for the tablet and closes securely with hidden rare earth magnets.

The pledges start from as low as $1, but to score an early bird case, you have to pledge $39, and it can go up to as much as $750 if you’re care to be so generous. Such a large pledge will help you get “a standard FreedomCase, a full custom UV printed FreedomCase, a black PU leather FreedomCase, three microfiber cloths, a shout out in our campaign wrap-up video, a shout out on our website, a 30 minute Skype call with the team, and an autographed prototype case. Your choices of fitted cases for Surface RT/2 or Surface Pro/Pro 2.” The expected delivery date is pegged to be mid-May with the product hitting retail afterwards.

Here’s a video detailing the FreedomCase in action. Take a look at it and pledge if you think it can be useful for you.
