Foursquare app for Windows Phone 8

Yet another app update for Windows Phone 8! Microsoft has announced that the official Foursquare app for Windows Phone 8 has been updated to version 3, featuring speech and Live tile support.

“Foursquare helps you explore the world around you. Meet up with friends. Find places to go. Save money with Specials. Have fun exploring!” the app description reads.

So what’s new in version 3? Foursquare for Windows Phone 8 now features the ability to pin people and venues to your Start Screen. You can also receive notifications on your lock screen, as well as utilize NFC to check-in and share. Users can also use their voice to search, find, check-in, and more, thanks to new updates to the speech recognition engine. The app will also fine tune its recommendations for things to do and try around you.
