Microsoft has revealed today that the brand new Foursquare app for Windows 8 is now available in the Windows Store. Not only is this app available, but it is exclusive to Windows 8 and is the first official app for large-screen devices.
“At our Build developer conference at the end of June, Foursquare announced they were going to release an app for Windows 8. This marks the first official Foursquare app for large-screen devices, available exclusively on Windows 8,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
With over 35 million people worldwide using the Foursquare service, you can check into places you visit and share your favorite places to your friends or family. You can also rate locations and read tips and feedback from other users. Foursquare has become popular simply because of its discovery of new places with personalized recommendations and deals based on where you have already visited.
