UPDATED: ‘Forza Horizon 2 presents Fast & Furious’ in development for Xbox One

Xbox

Forza, since it was first released, has built up a reputation as a true home for gearheads. Offering striking, detailed graphics and exciting gameplay, the title has found fame not only on the Xbox One, but beyond.

Meanwhile, the Fast and the Furious franchise has been busy keeping the flame alive for ridiculous macho action across the last decade, with the movies verging between thriller and action, and arguably improving with every successive release. Seemingly more popular than ever, the series has built up something of a reputation for its particular brand of car-scented thrill ride.

Given the parallels between the two, it is reasonable to expect that someone, somewhere may have made the link between the two franchises, and it seems Microsoft has done so. According to a rumor first spotted on Xbox’s Polish site, and later reported by the Verge, Forza Horizon has a Fast and the Furious-flavored expansion in development, and now that’s been confirmed by Xbox Wire. Forza Horizon 2 presents Fast & Furious is set to launch before the 7th film is released, on March 27th for download and will be available to play from April 3rd. Initially it will be free to download, however from April 10th onwards it will be priced at $10.
