Flipkart for Windows Phone gets push notifications, improves reading experience and features First

The official app of Flipkart has received a major update. The new version brings several new features, chief among them is the inclusion of company’s latest Flipkart First onto the app. The other app, Flipkart eBooks has received a minor update as well.

India’s leading online retailer Flipkart released its Windows Phone app earlier this year. The new version, 1.2.0.0, brings the company’s Flipkart First service to the app. Flipkart First is the company’s annual paid subscription service for shoppers who wish to get exclusive benefits and have access to priority service.

In addition, the app now supports push notifications, making it easier for users to keep up with the updates. There are improvements in the search feature as well, along with several spelling corrections.

Flipkart for Windows Phone will now be able to filter the pincode for large appliances as well. Also, you can expect the app to run a lot smoother as several bugs have been squashed.

The ebook reading app by Flipkart also picked a minor update. For those who’re unfamiliar, Flipkart eBooks is company’s reading app that allows you to read the books you buy from Flipkart. The update makes the reading experience smoother and has many bugs fixed.

You can download the updated version of both the apps from the download links below.
