FedEx is partnering with Microsoft to share FedEx Surround shipment tracking with other organizations with the help of Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365. FedEx Surround was the product of the collaboration between FedEx and Microsoft.

As noted in a press release, FedEx Surround is a new platform designed for any enterprise organization to visualize their supply chain digitally. Organizations can utilize FedEx Surround by leveraging its own inventory data to provide real-time inventory tracking and logistics management.

In this video, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and FedEx Chairman and CEO Frederick W. Smith explain how Microsoft and FedEx worked together to create FedEx Surround.

Microsoft and FedEx hope to be able to offer Dynamics 365 subscribers early access in the next few months and the general availability of FedEx Surround rolling out in Summer 2020. Microsoft and FedEx plan to announce additional products as part of their collaboration to help organizations offer customers more integrated ways to shop. Stay tuned.
