Bethesda has announced that its online multiplayer action-RPG Fallout 76 has reached a total 13.5 million players. The impressive number comes just over 4 years since the game’s disastrous launch, which was plagued by technical issues.

The team at Bethesda has continued to improve the game in the time since, however, and Fallout 76 has continued to grow. Among the other notable game stats shared were the following:

  • Expedition missions completed: 5,019,081
  • Caps spent at player shops: 48,260,495,834
  • Nuka-Cola’s consumed: 127,062,214
  • Total nukes dropped: 2,983,827
  • S.C.O.R.E earned: 204,358,776,288

All of which is pretty notable for a game that some considered a failure when it first released.

Fallout 76 is a prequel to the other games of the series, set 25 years after The Great War. The game’s premise is that fallout shelter Vault 76 is opened on “Reclamation Day” to recolonize the post-nuclear wasteland of Appalachia. Fallout 76 is currently available on Xbox Game Pass.
