Facebook messenger now lets you record voice messages, viber gets new default background and more

If you happen to be a regular user of either the Facebook Messenger app or Viber app for Windows Phone, you will be delighted to know that there are new updates waiting for you in the Windows Phone Store. Both updates add new features to each of these popular apps.

Facebook Messenger (also known as Messenger) has been bumped to version 6.0.0.0 and now features the ability to record voice messages. This was one of the top customer requested features. You can also send emoticons like smiley faces and more. Facebook has also added various other improvements throughout the app, including improvements to help you save data.

Viber has been bumped to version 4.2.2.0 and features a new default background. There are also unnamed bug fixes and improvements throughout the app. “With Viber, everyone in the world can connect. Freely. More than 360 million Viber users text, call, and send photo and video messages worldwide over Wifi or 3G – for free. Viber Out can be used to make calls to non-Viber mobile and landline numbers at low rates. Viber is available for many mobile and desktop platforms,” the app description reads.

You can snag both app updates via the download links below. Enjoy!
