F18 Carrier Landing Lite app is an excellent flight simulator for Windows 8.1

Looking for an excellent flight simulator for your Windows RT or Windows 8.1 device? Check out F18 Carrier Landing Lite. This app is free and published by RORTOS. This simulation app features decent visuals, music to get you amped up, and the ability to replay your flight!

“Landing on an air carrier is one of the toughest tasks that a fighter pilot has to undertake. The flight deck is only 150 meters long, just enough to stop your F/A-18 Hornet. Become a Top Gun pilot and have fun doing stunts and the toughest maneuvers. The F/A-18 SuperHornet is available as of today with a 3D virtual cockpit and mega-detailed graphics, too. You can control all the mobile surfaces, landing gears, flaps, slats, spoilers and you will also have the opportunity to review your actions through a fantastic multi-camera REPLAY and then instantly share the best images,” the app description reads.

The game also features a “flight tutorial” mode where you can take off in a fighter jet and attempt to land the aircraft in one piece. The controls are a bit confusing at first if you have never played a simulator before, but once you know what the controls are, the game is easy.

The throttle will be on the left side of the screen, in which you can use your mouse or finger to slide up or down. The landing gear is located on the right side of the screen and can be moved up or down as well. Here are the key features of this app:

  • Virtual 3D cockpit
  • In flight refuel
  • Multi-Camera Replay with dynamic pan
  • Two complete scenarios
  • Landing on air carriers and land bases completely customized for weather and time conditions
  • Flight school
  • Free flight mode
  • Dynamic-pan control system
  • I.F.L.O.L.S. approach system
  • Simulator mode, for even more realistic controls
  • Radio communications

We highly recommend this app for either your Windows RT device or Windows 8.1 device. Grab the download below and if you like the game, purchase the Pro version within the game to remove the advertisement. Let us know how you like it!

Thanks for the tip, Steveo!
