ESET has released two public beta builds of its upcoming NOD32 Antivirus 6 and Smart Security 6 programs, which offer several new features and a tweaked interface.
NOD32 Antivirus 6 has improved the ability to scan your PC in the background, whenever it detects that your system is idle. Antivirus 6 also features a new update rollback option, if a downloaded definition is causing problems. Smart Security 6 comes with a new feature called Anti-Theft, which is a web service that aims to help you locate missing devices. For example, if your laptop was stolen, you can log on to your ESET account and view the stolen devices position on a map and use the webcam to see who is using your laptop. For those who wish to try out these beta builds, just remember, make a backup before testing. These two builds are known for crashing when restoring objects from quarantine.
