As we’re getting closer to the launch of Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox consoles on November 10, the company is doing a pretty good job at dropping exciting Xbox news almost every week. After announcing earlier this month that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers would get access to EA Play at no additional cost during the holiday season, the company confirmed this morning that this free access to EA Play games would be unlocked on November 10 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

“Starting November 10, EA Play will be available on Xbox consoles, including Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and beginning in December, members with an Ultimate or PC subscription will be able to download and play games from the EA Play library on Windows 10 PCs. That means we will have a whole new collection of games coming your way on console and PC, and that some of the best EA Play games will also be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play on Android devices via the cloud,” wrote Sarah Bond, CVP, Gaming Partnerships & Ecosystem.

As we’re getting closer to the launch of Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox consoles on November 10, the company is doing a pretty good job at dropping exciting Xbox news almost every week. As of today, the EA Play catalog includes over 80 games from popular sports franchises (FIFA, Madden NFL), shooters (Titanfall, Battlefield), and RPGs (Mass Effect, Dragon Age). EA Play is available for $29.99/year when purchased separately, and existing subscribers will see their EA Play membership will be canceled and the remaining time will be converted to extend ongoing Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.

The fact that EA has agreed to make some of the EA Play games available on Android via Cloud gaming is really great for gamers, and EA Play coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC in December also means that EA games are finally coming to the Microsoft Store. Need for Speed: Heat is one of the first EA PC games that has been spotted on the Microsoft Store, though it can’t be downloaded yet.

The upcoming addition of EA Play games on consoles and Windows 10 PCs will definitely help to cement Xbox Game Pass Ultimate’s status as one of the best deals in gaming. The service is really great value for just $14.99/month, and new subscribers can still get their first month of subscription for just $1.
