The Portal 2 and Double Kick Heroes video games are now free to claim for all Xbox console owners with an active Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Portal 2 originally came out on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console back in 2011 and is playable on both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X console families via backwards compatibility.

Here’s the official game description for Portal 2:

The Games on Demand version supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish, Potuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese. The highly anticipated sequel to 2007’s Game of the Year, Portal 2 is a hilariously mind-bending adventure that challenges you to use wits over weaponry in a funhouse of diabolical science. Using a highly experimental portal device, you’ll once again face off against a lethally inventive, power-mad A.I. named GLaDOS. Break the laws of spatial physics in ways you never thought possible, with a wider variety of portal puzzles and an expansive story that spans a single player and co-op game mode.

Double Kick Heroes launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series X console families in 2020. It’s kind of a combo of a rhythm game and a shooter and has a strong retro gaming vibe with its visuals and soundtrack.

Double Kick zombies in the face with insane Metal music! 30 tremendously awesome quality Metal songs by a legendary video game AND Metal composer. Unlock new gear and pimp your Gundillac. Rodriguez infused background story about being weird guys and gals who live for Sex, Drugs and Heavy Metal. Explosions, rebels, militias, undeads, road-rage, madness, apocalypse. Ready to hit the fury road? The only awesome rock and metal rhythm game, what more!?

Double Kick Heroes and Portal 2 join Gods Will Fall as part of September’s Games With Gold titles for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Portal 2 and Gods Will Fall are free to claim until September 30th while Double Kick Heroes will remain free until October 15th.
