Dominos Pizza in Australia is holding a special promotional campaign for the release of Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One. For anyone that buys a specially branded Forza Horizon 3 pizza from Dominos before October 8th, they’ll receive a special code to unlock a free car within the video game once it’s launched. The in-game car being given away this week is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C63 S Coupe. The car will apparently change each week.
The popular pizza chain is also holding a special competition for three Xbox One Forza Horizon 3 and Pizza Mogul prize packs. Each pack contains a new Xbox One S console and controller, a copy of Forza Horizon 3, 12 months of Xbox Live Gold membership, three downloadable content (DLC) codes, and three Mogul Pizzas, garlic bread, and a drink home delivered. To participate in this competition, entrants will have to design their own Forza-inspired Mogul Pizza and then comment with their pizza’s name on the Pizza Mogul Facebook page.
Pizza Mogul is a new sort of promotion which encourages Dominos Pizza customers to create their own custom pizzas and share them on social media. What sets this apart from similar campaigns run by rival companies is that the custom pizzas remain on the website and the creator will earn a percentage of the profit for every one that’s bought by other customers. Users can then cash out their earnings for real cash or donate them to a charity of their choice.
Microsoft has partnered with the Pizza Mogul website to run the DLC code giveaway and the prize pack campaigns but they’ve also created their own official Forza Horizon 3 Pizza Mogul pizzas; the Forza Outback Meatlovers, the Forza Supercharged Supreme, and the Forza Ocean Garlic Prawn.
Forza Horizon 3 is set entirely within Australia, so is naturally garnering a lot of attention domestically. The game is being released on Microsoft’s Xbox One video game console and on Windows 10 PCs as part of the newly announced Xbox Play Anywhere service. This allows gamers to buy the game on one platform and own it for free on the other. All of the save data and progress will sync between the two via Microsoft’s Xbox Live cloud service.
