Dell Venue 8 Pro

The Dell Venue 8 Pro Windows 8.1 tablet was offered for $99 during “Microsoft’s 12 Days Of Deals” promotion, though quantities were limited. If you were not lucky enough to get the mini-tablet for even the $199 price it reverted to afterwards, a deal that lasted until the Microsoft Store ran out of supplies, then there is still a chance for a bargain.

Amazon has started offering the tablet for just $249.99 for the 32GB version — a saving of $50 compared to the official price. For the 64GB Dell Venue 8 Pro, you’ll have to shell out $313, which isn’t a bad price for the device either. By contrasts, the Microsoft Store currently lists Dell Venue 8 Pro 32GB for $279 — a $20 savings, but Amazon is knocking off even more.

In terms of specifications, the miniature tablet boasts an 8-inch IPS display, sporting a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels with 10-finger multi-touch support. Under the hood, the Dell Venue 8 Pro is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3740D up to 1.80 GHz with 2 GB of RAM.

The tablet is available with two storage options — 32 GB and 64 GB, as well as a choice to expand it via a microSD card slot. Included in the package is Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 and Microsoft Windows 8.1 pre-installed, all out of the box. Other features include Intel HD Graphics with shared graphics memory, 5 MP rear camera, 1.2 MP front-facing lens, 2-cell lithium-ion battery, Wi-Fi 802.11a/g/n with Miracast enabled, and it weighs just 395g.

If you think this one is for you, hit the Amazon link below to see the product page and other details of the tablet. If you’re an owner of the Dell Venue 8 Pro, will you recommend it to other people? Fire away with your thoughts in the comments below.
