Dell dumps Amazon India from its authorised sellers list to favor offline store sellers

Remember the ‘Big Billion Day‘ that Flipkart celebrated earlier this week? It was amazing, wasn’t it? If you could excuse the online seller for the limited stock availability, its price offerings on a wide range of products were pretty compelling. However, not everyone was happier that day. While purchasing products from online stores may have saved you a lot of money, it is ruining the business of sellers running brick and mortar stores.

This fiasco took a new turn recently when Dell announced that Amazon India, one of the largest online seller in the country is no longer its authorized dealer. Dell, among many other companies including Lenovo, LG, Sony are now trying to restore a healthy balance between the online and offline stores. For now, Dell advises users to head over to Compu India, which is one of its authorized retailers.

Do remember that you can still visit Amazon India and grab the Windows-powered laptops at discounted price, however Dell won’t honor any benefits including extending warranties that Amazon India is offering to you. Amazon India kick-started its one-week long Diwali sales offer earlier this morning. We will let you know if we find a great deal.
