Dead Kings, the first DLC to be released for Assassin’s Creed Unity, is now available for Xbox One. Downloadable via the Xbox store, Dead Kings tasks the player with a fully-fleshed out story mode, with the blurb stating,

“Lead Arno to the ominous city of Saint Denis. Explore the troubled city’s narrow streets and its extensive underground universe – an ancient necropolis with an intricate network of catacombs and caves, final resting place of France’s illustrious kings and their secrets. Includes new weapons and equipment that are also compatible with the main game.”

The latest in the popular franchise, Assassin’s Creed Unity is set during the French Revolution, with players stepping into the shoes of Arno Dorian as he navigates the various political and martial intrigues of the time, hoping to defeat the nefarious Templars.

Dead Kings is free for everyone who owns a copy of Assassins Creed Unity, which could perhaps be interpreted as an apology from Ubisoft given how notoriously buggy the game was on release across all of its incarnations.

Will you be picking up the DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
