DayZ coming to Xbox One in Game Preview in 2018 – onmsft.com

Xbox Game Preview picks up another cool title to add to list of tester games for users with Day Z.

According to the DayZ twitter page, Xbox users should prepare themselves to test a preview version of the post-apocalyptic sci-fi franchise soon.

Yes! Coming to Xbox Game Preview at some point this year, we’re not sure about PS4 yet, but we’ll release there too, eventually – just don’t know when yet.

For those unfamiliar with the franchise, it’s probably best summarized as Grand Theft Auto set in the world of post-Soviet Republic infested with zombies. Day Z is an open world game that encourages teamwork and world scavaging at its heart but thanks to its Mod origins, a players imagination is the limit.

We’re still waiting on a release date for Day Z with developers only promising to release it sometime in 2018. Unfortunately, the 2018 timeframe is a pushback from the previous intentions of the studio to release Day Z in 2017.
