Day one content made available for downloaded xbox one games

There were various perks associated with getting an Xbox One on launch day — that warm feeling of being among the first to play a game, bragging rights, etc. But there was also the promise of downloadable content for various games. Anyone who bought the boxed version of games were given a special code to do just this, and now the same extras are being made available to those who opted to download their games instead.

If you chose to download games, you should fire up your Xbox One and check your Xbox Live account — you might just find that you have a message letting you know the special code you need to grab the extra content.

Day One content is available for a number of titles including Ryse: Son of Rome and Forza Motorsport 5 — for the latter you’ll gain access to an exclusive car.

So go and check your account and see if there is anything waiting for you to download. Microsoft has a lot of people to supply with codes so if you’re expecting to receive a code and it’s yet to arrive, just be patient and it should be with you in due course.

When you do get your Day One content, let us know what you favorite extra is!
