Cyberpunk 2077 DLC “Phantom Liberty” will arrive in 2023, and only for next-gen consoles – onmsft.com

CD Projekt Red has unveiled a teaser trailer for its upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, titled “Phantom Liberty.”

This long-awaited first major expansion to the game comes nearly two years after its initial release date. Following the sci-fi RPGs notoriously troubled launch, the team chose to focus on ironing out its many technical issues before moving on to content expansions.

Despite rumors to the contrary, it looks as though Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves) will be present and accounted for in the expansion given his appearance in the trailer. Reeves himself confirmed this as part of today’s episode of Night City Wire. You can see this over on CD Projekt Red’s official Twitch channel.

The episode was largely focused on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners—the upcoming Netflix anime series which premieres on September 13.

Also notable is the fact that, going by trailer’s outro, the DLC will come to Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC and Google Stadia, but not previous gen consoles like Xbox One. This is bound to be a sore disappointment for those who haven’t made the next-gen leap yet.
