AT&T’s prepaid subsidiary, Cricket Wireless, is now offering the budget-friendly Lumia 650 in the US, making it the only carrier to offer Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile handset. The device is available online as well as through the carrier stores for $129.99 off-contract.
“Elevating the prepaid space means more than having a diverse portfolio for our customers. It’s also about bringing value to our customers through the unexpected – the things they thought they could only get from postpaid,” said Tiffany Baehman, vice president and chief marketing officer of Cricket Wireless. “Being the exclusive carrier of the Lumia 650, a sleek smartphone at a great price, gives customers more reason to want to join Cricket Nation.”
The handset doesn’t bring top-of-the-line specifications on board, but the most catchy feature is its premium metallic build, which makes it look more like a premium handset.
As for specifications, there’s a 5-inch 720p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Other features include an 8MP camera with autofocus, 5MP front-facing shooter, a 2,000 mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity and ships with Windows 10 Mobile out of the box.
