Cricket Wireless to launch Lumia 640 this Friday

Announced back at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, the Lumia 640 is available in several markets across the globe. If you happen to be a Cricket Wireless customer, you be glad to know the carrier is set to launch the Lumia 640 on May 15th, which is this Friday. Unfortunately, the carrier didn’t reveal the color options or the pricing plans, but rest assured, it’s not going to be too heavy on the budget.

As a quick recap, the Lumia 640 comes with a 5-inch display boasting a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels. The processing comes from a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot for storage hungry users, as well as an 8MP camera, a 2,500 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 4G LTE connectivity, and ships with Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim.

We’ll update you as soon as the handset is available on Cricket Wireless along with the pricing plans. Just so you know, the Lumia 640 is also coming soon to T-Mobile.
