Cricket Wireless to launch Lumia 635 in cyan on November 7th

Cricket Wireless announced that they are going to carry the budget-friendly Lumia 635 on their network starting November 7th. The handset costs $99 with activation, which is a very decent price for the Lumia 635 — and for those who want to give Windows Phone operating system a go. New and existing customers will be able to enjoy high-speed data at a very affordable price.

“Again this season, Cricket helps customers by offering the newest smartphone technology and monthly rate plans at competitive prices. This means customers can get the great devices they want and also have money to spend on holiday parties and gifts for family and friends,” said Andy Smoak, head of product for Cricket Wireless. “Our no-annual contract plans starting at $35 per month after $5 credit for using Auto Pay – all in, including taxes and fees – and competitive device pricing make Cricket’s offering one of the best values in the market place.”

The Lumia 635 is identical to the Lumia 630, but there’s only one major difference: the Lumia 630 comes with dual-SIM support, while the Lumia 635 comes with a single-SIM, which is LTE capable. The rest of the internals are identical, and are powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, coupled with microSD card support.

Furthermore, there’s a 4.5-inch ClearBlack display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a 5MP rear camera, 1,830 mAh battery, and Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system out of the box. The handset will be available in-store as well as online beginning November 7th. Furthermore, they are offering the handset in cyan color, so if that’s what you fancy and you have no issues going for Cricket Wireless, this is a pretty decent deal.
