Cortana in Windows 10 will now use your name within responses, making for a more natural conversation

When Cortana was first integrated into the Windows 10 Technical Preview, she was very limited in terms of capabilities, especially when compared to her Windows Phone 8.1 counterpart. Slowly, but surely, Microsoft has been adding to the feature set of Cortana on Windows 10.

Thanks to the way Microsoft built Cortana, the software giant can implement changes and upgrade the personal assistant without users having to update the operating system or an app, everything happens on the backend and new features just work.

Today, Windows Central noticed that Cortana in Windows 10 build 10122 will now repeat a user’s name within general responses, making for a more natural conversation dynamic between the user and the digital assistant.

(Hey Cortana, do I need an umbrella today?)

Microsoft also released some new Cortana quests that can be accessed via the Insider Hub. The quests guide you in performing certain tasks, like asking Cortana for word definitions, flight statuses, movie showtimes, unit conversions, and tech help. Have a go at them and let Microsoft know what can be improved upon.
