ControlCircle joins Check Point MSP program to deliver outsourced, centrally-managed security services to SMBs and Enterprises in the UK

London, 7 June 2011 – ControlCircle, the leading data centre and managed services provider, has today announced a partnership with Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, to deliver fully-managed, outsourced Unified Threat Management (UTM) services to UK businesses.

As a Check Point Managed Service Provider (MSP) partner, ControlCircle has the expertise and infrastructure to offer outsourced, enterprise-class security to its customers based on Check Point’s advanced and ultra innovative security solutions. ControlCircle will provision and manage the Check Point solutions for customers on a subscription basis, driving down the cost of implementing enterprise-class security.

“The capital expenditure required to deploy high-end security protection escalates as a business grows and can rapidly overburden IT budgets,” said Damian Milkins, president and founder ControlCircle. “This partnership removes that barrier, with ControlCircle delivering Check Point’s UTM as a managed service for a predictable monthly cost, giving companies an extensible security infrastructure that scales with their business. Furthermore, we can manage the security deployment for customers, relieving a burden from hard-pressed IT teams at end user organisations.”

“We are glad to welcome ControlCircle as a MSP Partner,” commented Bruno Darmon, vice president of Europe sales at Check Point. “Their expertise in solutions, management and support services, will play a key role in driving mutual success and giving clients more deployment options for advanced security solutions in the current market.”

ControlCircle’s UTM MSP package comprises Check Point’s UTM-1 appliances and Check Point VPN-1 solution for central offices and branch offices. These provide advanced, multi-layered protection against Internet threats including spyware, viruses and network attacks. UTM services include firewall, IPSec VPN, URL filtering, gateway antivirus and anti-spyware, and intrusion prevention.

The Check Point appliances are easily deployed and can be centrally controlled to help simplify management for multiple sites, while providing the same uncompromising level of security used to secure the networks of Fortune 1000 companies. Check Point’s SmartCenter™ management solution enables IT administrators to quickly prioritise security events, effectively distribute updates and consistently enforce policy across the enterprise, and access real-time monitoring and reporting tools.

ControlCircle’s UTM MSP service incorporates a Co Premium support package that provides access to Check Point experts, major upgrades, solution fixes and 24/7 backline helpdesk.

Damian Milkins added: “Maintenance and technical support can account for up to 25% of the overall cost of a high-performance security appliance. The inclusion of the Co Premium support package transforms this UTM service into a complete solution, created to offer power and ease-of-use and based on a cost model to meet the security challenges of today. Our MSP solutions give our clients consistent implementation, integration, support and management for their security solutions.”
