Computex 2017: Asus takes the wraps off new ROG Zephyrus Windows 10 gaming laptop

Computex 2017, the annual international computer expo, is officially underway in Taipei, Taiwan, and a lot of new hardware announcements from various Microsoft OEMs are rolling in. Asus is leading the way with these announcements, taking the wraps off their new ROG Zephyrus Windows 10 gaming laptop.

According to Asus, the 15-inch ROG Zephyrus will deliver next generation gaming. The VR ready gaming laptop is powered by the latest Intel Core i7 processor, and the highest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GTX graphics card. It’s also very thin, coming in at just 17.9mm (0.7-inches) in thickness. Other notable features can be seen below:

  • Enhanced keyboard features with a new type of trackpad located to the right of the keyboard for ideal gaming usage.
  • ROG Aura that lets you customize dynamic light effects on the WASD and QWER key groups.
  • Special hinge design that increases air flow to cool the laptop.
  • Sonic Studio II for Reverb, Bass Boost, Equalizer, Voice Clarity, Smart EQ (Smart Volume) and Surround controls.

Reports indicate that the Zephyrus will come with options for the Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, 256/512GB or 1TB SSD. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced, but this definitely is a monster of a gaming machine.
