Come on down to SouthPark Mall in Charlotte for a new Microsoft Store and have yourself a time

Microsoft has opened up a brand new retail store at the SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is the state’s second Microsoft retail store and the first retail store in Charlotte. The 2,261-square foot retail store is located at SouthPark’s Nordstrom wing and is Microsoft’s 104th retail store location, with stores located all throughout the United States and Canada.

The grand opening of the new retail store was early Saturday morning, with the first 1,500 people in line having an opportunity to snag a pair of concert tickets for popular Pop rock singer Kelly Clarkson, who is set to hold a concert nearby on the 19th.

As you can see from the embedded tweets below, the turnout for the grand opening was decent, with eager customers itching to be one of the 1,500 people to have a chance of snagging free concert tickets. The SouthPark mall has had a small Microsoft specialty store, but now residents in the area can finally experience a full blown Microsoft retail store.

A typical Microsoft Store offers an assortment of products, including Windows 8.1 desktops, tablets, laptops, Windows Phone devices, Xbox One, Office 365, and much more. Customers can also receive service, get recommendations, and receive help with PC setups. These services ensure that the customer walks out of a Microsoft Store ready to operate their new machine.

These new Microsoft Store openings are part of the company’s attempt to expand its existing retail footprint in the US as well as Canada. Microsoft wants to deliver a premium retail experience that is not only entertaining, but also offers consumers an excellent selection and service with their purchases.

Microsoft is set to open up several new Microsoft Stores throughout the country in time for Black Friday, a popular day for sales. Microsoft is also expected to open up a flagship retail store at 677 Fifth Avenue in New York City.
