CNN and Xbox One SmartGlass Beta apps for Windows Phone receive new improvements

If you enjoy reading CNN news on your Windows Phone device, you will be happy to know that there is an app update available right now. For those of you who are using the Xbox One SmartGlass Beta app, head to the Windows Phone Store for an update that improves your experience!

Let’s start off with the CNN app. Updated to version 1.6.0.0, this app update adds enhancements to breaking news alerts, as well as supports Lumia high-resolution cameras in iReport. The app also features minor bug fixes.

“Stay informed with the latest headlines and original stories from around the globe. Follow up-to-the-minute reporting with breaking news alerts. Lead the conversation by sharing today’s news and dig deeper into the stories that matter most to you,” the CNN app description reads.

The Xbox One SmartGlass Beta app was bumped to version 1.0.0.15, and now lets you see the Top Games in Profile and Popular Games in Friends. You can can also see Activity Feed Alerts and various user interface improvements.

“Xbox One SmartGlass is the perfect companion app for your Xbox One, both in your living room and on the go. Connect and control your Xbox One. Stay connected with the games and gamers you like. And add a new dimension to your console entertainment with the mobile device you already own,” the app description reads.
