AI chat tools answer complex questions quickly, but text alone often makes detailed explanations harder to understand. Anthropic has started addressing that problem by adding immersive visuals to Claude’s chat responses. The new system lets the AI generate charts, graphs, and diagrams directly inside conversations, which helps users understand complicated topics without scanning through long blocks of text.
The new visual capability appears directly within Claude’s replies and updates as the discussion evolves. When someone asks a question that benefits from a visual explanation, Claude can generate charts, idea maps, or diagrams that organize information in a clear structure. This approach helps users see relationships between concepts while the AI explains them step by step, which keeps conversations easier to follow when topics become complex.
Anthropic introduced the feature as part of Claude’s ongoing product improvements and confirmed that the visual response system currently runs in beta. According to the company, Claude builds these visuals instantly inside the chat interface and adjusts them in real time as the conversation continues.
Interactive visuals appear inside conversations
Claude’s visual system creates diagrams and charts directly within a response instead of placing them in a separate panel. These visuals remain temporary and adapt as users add more questions or details. For example, a question about compound interest can produce a dynamic curve that changes when values adjust, while a request about the periodic table can generate an interactive layout that reveals details when users click individual elements.
Some responses also include interactive features. Users can select parts of a chart or diagram and immediately see deeper information connected to that section. This structure helps people explore complex answers without losing the context of the conversation.
Anthropic says the immersive visual responses are available across all Claude plan types. The feature remains in beta for now while the company continues refining how Claude decides when a visual explanation improves the conversation.
