Windows Store in Windows 8.1

The Windows Store in the recent Windows 8.1 leaks has now opened up for users to check out, revealing many new changes in the Store’s UI. We have screenshots available for your viewing pleasure of the new Store UI,and we can tell you the update is so much better than what is currently offered in Windows 8.

While the new Windows Store app is now open on leaked builds, we were unable to download apps due to unknown errors. So we can’t check out the new Fresh Paint apps or update other apps, which is a shame. However, we could download Adobe Photoshop Express, which is interesting. The UI functions great, which means the Store is practically ready for use when the Windows 8.1 Preview launches in a couple weeks.

Of course, Microsoft will continue to tinker with the Store before the official Windows 8.1 Preview is released, which means what’s seen in these screenshots could change. So look forward to that!

Update: After a couple of attempts, it appears we were able to download the new Fresh Paint, and it’s pretty cool!
