Nearly a year after its release on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Windows, Overwatch has become one of the most popular online multiplayer shooters on the market. To celebrate the first anniversary of the game, Blizzard Entertainment has just announced an in-game event which will kick off on Tuesday, May 23.
The developer published the following video to look back at the team’s favorite moments since launch:
As part of the celebration, Blizzard shared yesterday that gamers will be able to fight in three new maps. You can have a quick look at the new arenas in the video below:

Last but not least, Blizzard also announced another Overwatch Free Weekend which will run from May 26-29. “For this free weekend, we’re making Overwatch’s full roster of 24 heroes and 14 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade,” said the blog post. On the Xbox One, you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to participate and we’ll share more details next week ahead of the event.
