Office 365 Admin app for Windows Phone 8 lets you administrate on the go

Check the health of Office 365 from your mobile

IT administrators now have a new way to keep an eye on the status of Office 365 when they are on the move. Forget having to VPN into the company network to check what is happening, there’s now a dedicated Office 365 Admin app that does the hard work for you.

With a few taps it is possible to monitor the status of Exchange, Lync, SharePoint and more, and there are filtering options so you can jump straight to the information you are looking for. As any admin will tell you, there is no such thing as time away from work, and this app ensures that essential services can be monitored from virtually anywhere.

Ultimately, it is quite a simple app, but simple is by no means bad. There are very few options to work with, but this is a viewing tool and nothing more. Refresh times can be adjusted so that settings are check every 15 or 30 minutes, but it is also possible to perform a manual check at any time.

For the time being, Office 365 Admin is available for Windows Phone — hit the download link below to grab yourself a free copy — but Android and iOS versions are promised in the coming weeks.
