Technology leader to play key role in application compatibility and remediation for operating system, virtualised and browser migrations

London, 7 December 2010 – ChangeBASE Limited, the global leader in automated application compatibility testing and remediation, today announces its role within the Microsoft Jumpstart Programme.

As one of Microsoft Corp’s key global application compatibility partners, ChangeBASE has been involved in some of the largest Windows 7 migration projects to date. With this experience ChangeBASE offers organisations the ability to test up to fifty applications for compatibility using the AOK Jumpstart Proof of Concept. In addition to reporting on the compatibility issues found, AOK can be used to automatically remediate up to ten applications identified as having compatibility issues.

Within the Jumpstart Proof of Concept, AOK will automatically test up to 50 applications for compatibility with Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Application Virtualisation (App-V) and 64-bit environments. In addition, AOK will fix up to 10 applications highlighted as having compatibility issues, resulting in a dramatically accelerated migration to the target platform.

To obtain an AOK license for use in conjunction with the Jumpstart Programme, organisations can download AOK from the ChangeBASE Proof of Concept portal. The license can be supported with online training where appropriate.

“Application compatibility is an essential part of any customer migration to Windows 7. Microsoft and ChangeBASE have been working together to help our mutual small, medium sized and enterprise customers have a smooth experience moving their applications to Windows 7, so we are very pleased to work with ChangeBASE to also extend this support through the Jumpstart Program,” said Rich Reynolds, General Manager, Windows Commercial Product Marketing, Microsoft.

“The Microsoft Jumpstart Programme is a perfect way for organisations to accelerate their migration to Windows 7,” says Dawn Clifton, Microsoft Alliances Manager, ChangeBASE. “Application compatibility is a key component of the migration process and with AOK organisations can rapidly assess compatibility in order to gain a fuller understanding of the compatibility issues they may face as they move to the new operating system.”

Organisations wishing to use the AOK as part of the Jumpstart Programme should contact:
