Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has been officially given the October 28th 2022 release date today. Official artwork for the upcoming video game was also revealed via a rather elaborate real-world Port of Long Beach event.

In addition to the release date and artwork reveals, details on the game’s main characters were also announced with Task Force 141’s initial line-up set to include Captain John Price, Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish, Simon “Ghost” Riley, and Colonel Alejandro Vargas of the Mexican Special Forces.
No other information, such as platform specifics or a potential inclusion in Xbox Game Pass on Day One, were mentioned but such details should come soon given that there’s only five months until Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 comes out.
