Build 2015 is over, next stop Microsoft Ignite -- an enterprise-focused event starting May 4th

Build 2015 has come to a close after offering three days of gripping new information on Windows 10, app development, HoloLens (read about our hands on experience here), and much more. Now, the focus is on Microsoft Ignite, an enterprise focused tech event taking place that starts May 4th in Chicago.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will open the event with a keynote at 7AM PST on Monday May 4th, giving the world a glimpse at the company’s strategy and how they plan to empower every person and every organization to achieve more. The event takes place from May 4th to May 8th and will also be live-streamed. We’ll be attending the event and we will also provide the live-stream once it becomes available.

So what is Ignite? Remember the TechEd conference? Ignite is a combination of various conferences into one big enterprise-focused event. Here’s how Microsoft describes it:

“It’s for big thinkers looking for an edge. It’s for anyone who attended the Microsoft Exchange, Lync, Project, SharePoint, MMS, or TechEd conferences—and then some. It’s for senior decision makers seeking what’s next, and who want insights on key technology trends in the industry. It’s for IT professionals who need hands-on experience to enhance their tech skills. It’s for enterprise developers and architects looking for innovative ways to maximize application development. It’s for those who want to feel inspired and enlightened. It’s for you.”

We’re expecting Microsoft to talk about how the Surface Pro 3 offers an excellent experience in an enterprise environment. We also expect Microsoft to go over Office 365, Office Delve, Office Graph, Windows 10 and the Internet of Things, Microsoft Edge, Azure, and much more. Microsoft is expected to show off Windows 10 at this event, showing off how it can make you more productive.

What do you hope to see at Microsoft Ignite? Let us know in the comments below. If you want to catch up on all the important news from Build 2015, you can do so right here.
