Blu's budget Windows Phones become available in India at SnapDeal

BLU is definitely a popular brand among budget unlocked smartphones, having sold over 25 million handsets in over 40 countries. Now the company is expanding its availability of its smartphones to India via SnapDeal.com.

The two handsets, the BLU Win Jr LTE and BLU Win HD LTE, are budget Windows Phone 8.1 devices that feature two SIM card slots and 4G LTE connectivity. Both handsets also qualify for the free Windows 10 Mobile upgrade later this year. The two devices have nearly the same specs aside from the screen size and camera quality. There’s also five color options: white, gray, yellow, orange, and pink.

The BLU Win Jr is priced at ₹5,999 (which is about $94 US), although the official list price is ₹6,999. The BLU Win HD is priced at ₹7,999 (which is about $125 US) with the official list price being ₹9,499. These are some pretty good discounts, especially considering these phones are unlocked.

Both phones feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor, 1 GB RAM, and an Adreno 306 GPU, which should give the average user plenty of performance for most Windows Phone games. There’s also 8 GB of onboard storage, which isn’t great, but can be expanded to up to 32 GB via microSD card.

The BLU Win Jr has a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 display, 5-megapixel back and VGA front cameras, and weighs 138 grams. In contrast, the BLU Win HD has a 5-inch 720 x 1280 display, 8-megapixel back and 2-megapixel front cameras, and weighs only 136 grams.

One thing that set’s BLU apart from its competitors is that it they typically give you more goodies with your phone than do other smartphone manufacturers. In addition to the charger, users also get a free silicone case and screen protector.

Be sure to check out our full review on the BLU Win Jr LTE and BLU Win HD LTE to see if these phones are right for you.
