Bing pays tribute to the most courageous women of 2013

2013 has only hours left and the year-end wrap-ups and tributes have been flowing for the past couple of weeks. We’ve seen the top searches from Bing already, but today the search arm of Microsoft takes a different approach on the year that has passed. The company is taking a look back at the women who have inspired us throughout the past 12 months.

It was an eventful year, punctuated by such horrific events as the Boston Marathon bombing, which led to the loss of one leg for Adrianne Haslet-Davis, a dance teacher, who vowed to come back strong and dance again. The world lost Margaret Thatcher and was inspired by the recovery of Gabrielle Giffords, who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

The new site, which Bing has posted, contains a number of these compelling stories, as well as a video tribute. You can also scroll down through all of the women chosen by Microsoft for this year-end tribute. No doubt, there are others who deserve recognition as well. You can also watch the tribute video below.
