Bing News

For those of you who frequent Bing News for the latest news in various categories, Microsoft has rolled out an updated design making Bing news ‘modern.’ On top of that, Microsoft has added trending topics from Facebook and Twitter, amking Bing News a little more social.

“At Bing, we know that keeping pace with what’s happening in the world can be a full time job. People want to access the news in real-time whether it’s on a phone, tablet, or PC. Today’s news is propelled by “likes” and “tweets” and headlines rise and fall in less time than it takes to eat lunch. That’s why we’ve refreshed Bing News to make it easier for you to stay on top of the stuff you care about,” Microsoft stated in an official Bing blog post.

The new Bing News is now adaptive, so it looks great on any form factor. Bing News now showcases a real-time view of the most relevant breaking trends and social conversations. Microsoft has added a news carousel which showcases the latest trending topics in various categories such as US news, world news, local news, entertainment, sports, politics, and other news categories.

Bing News also ‘harnesses’ Satori technology, allowing the site to identify people that are associated with the trending news. Bing News will then showcase people and places that are related to the latest headlines of the day, without having to navigate elsewhere.
