Paramount has confirmed another major change in its streaming lineup, as the company moves to shut down BET+ and bring its content into Paramount+. This step adds to its broader plan to strengthen a single platform while it prepares for a larger merger and focuses on scaling its core service.
According to Deadline, Paramount will officially shut down BET+ in June, folding more than 1,000 hours of shows and movies into Paramount+. The company said this move will help “bring more content together under one roof,” making it easier for users to access a wider library in one place.
If you currently use BET+, you will need a Paramount+ subscription to keep watching the same content after June. That also means a price jump, since BET+ starts at $5.99 per month, while Paramount+ begins at $8.99.
Paramount is offering a short-term deal that brings both Paramount+ plans down to $2.99 per month for the first two months. The offer runs until the end of March, after which standard pricing returns.
