your phone app feature 1030x580

The Your Phone app on Windows 10 is receiving a new feature that lets users monitor the battery levels of their Android phones straight from the app without having to reach for their mobile devices. The update is has begun to make its way to all Windows 10 users, so if you don’t set see the feature yourself, it should hit within a few days.

And this feature is now starting to roll out to all our #YourPhone users! Thanks to @baileyg2016 and some of our other interns this summer who worked on bringing this feature to life. https://t.co/4jInxKysfp

Being able to see the battery level of the device straight from within Your Phone is definitely a nice addition, especially as the app’s essential features such as messaging, photos, and notifications require the device to be on and running in order for it to work. The new feature has been in Insider testing for less than two weeks, so it’s good to see that it’s already making its way to the general public.

If you’re not familiar with Your Phone on Windows 10, it’s an app that gives users access to messaging, photos, notifications, and more without the need for having the device unlocked. It’s available for free on the Microsoft Store, for those interested.

Are you seeing the update on your end? What do you think of Microsoft’s implementation of it so far? Feel free to leave your thoughts on the app and what you’d like to see Microsoft bring to the table in the comments area below.
