Nokia began the Lumia Black update global roll out last week for all Lumia handsets, starting from Nokia Lumia 1020 and Lumia 925. It’s not just these two, several reports suggest that Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 in several countries are getting the much awaited Lumia Black update. For those of you stuck with ATT Nokia Lumia 925, there’s a piece of good news for you.
After Lumia 1020, Nokia Lumia 925 tied to ATT is receiving the Lumia Black update. Nokia also updated its support page, mentioning that Lumia Black update is now available for Nokia Lumia 925 as well.
The latest Nokia Lumia Black update with Windows Phone 8 GDR3 brings forth a number of improvements, new features and enhancements to the Lumia handsets, along with a bunch of Nokia tweaks and applications on board. The update features new features including glance screen 2.0, screen orientation lock, Bluetooth LE, driving mode that restricts notifications while driving, Nokia StoryTeller, Nokia Beamer application (also supports other Lumia devices with 1GB of RAM), Nokia Camera app that combines the power of Nokia Pro Camera and Smart Camera, ability to set custom ringtone, improved storage management, and more.
It should take a little while for the update to reach all devices, but if you’re impatient, you can manually check for the update as well. Simply head over to the settings app on your AT&T Nokia Lumia 925, go to Phone update and tap on Check for updates.
