Yesterday, Verizon Lumia Icon users were at long last granted an official release of Windows 10 Mobile. That left Lumia 1520 users on AT&T as one of the more vocal groups waiting impatiently for Microsoft’s latest mobile OS. Apparently, the wait is over, as AT&T has started pushing the update today (via Neowin).

Digging into AT&T’s support site, we see that the release was officially date stamped yesterday, June 23, 2016:

Update summary
Effective June 23, 2016, Microsoft and AT&T released a new Windows 10 update for the Nokia Lumia 1520. To download the update, you must download and install the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app from the Windows app store. The update will be available for download via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA). A Wi-Fi connection is required for the update.

Software update includes
Windows 10 operating system
Built-in Applications – photos, maps, messaging, music, video and more.
Cortana – personal assistant
Improved multi-task and organize capability for improved productivity
OneDrive – online storage
Secureboot – supports quick and secure reboot
Windows Defender – malicious malware protection
Windows Store – for access to hundreds of thousands of applications.

As always, your first step in upgrading your Lumia 1520 to Windows 10 Mobile is to install the Upgrade Advisor app and run it. Check the Enable Windows 10 Upgrade box, and then following the instructions from there.

With AT&T releasing the upgrade to Lumia 1520 owners, and the Lumia Icon receiving the upgrade on Verizon, that’s two major Lumia devices out of the way. Let us know in the comments if you have a Lumia that’s not yet received the official upgrade.
