If you’re used to work with more than one monitor at your desk and feel like you can’t be as productive on the go on your small laptop’s screen, Asus may have the perfect product for you. The company unveiled the ZenScreen portable monitor during its IFA 2016 press conference today, and it’s basically a thin and light 15.6-inch Full HD screen that you can plug to your laptop’s USB port (via Neowin).
Here are the main highlights of the portable monitor, according to the official product page:
- Features a hybrid USB Type-C port that supports power and video transmission, and enables compatibility with any laptop with a USB Type Type-C or USB Type-A port.
- Weighing just 800g and only 8mm thin, the 15.6-inch ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC is the world’s lightest, and slimmest, Full HD portable monitor.
- ZenScreen MB16AC has its own ultra-thin 1mm foldable smart case, which not only provides protection but also can be turned into a horizontal or vertical stand.
So far, Asus has only revealed that the ZenScreen will be sold for €269 in Europe, but the manufacturer did not announce a release date as well as details about potential availability in other markets.
