New Integration with System Center, Active Directory Accelerates Deployment of Windows 7, Microsoft App-V and End-User Computing Projects

ATLANTA, GA – 16 May, 2011 – App-DNA, the global leader in application intelligence, announced today from the Microsoft TechEd Conference the availability of a new “test drive” version of the AppTitude application intelligence software and the continued success of the new AppTitude 5.0 release. The new cloud-based preview of the award-winning AppTitude software enables enterprise IT teams to have a hands-on view of application testing and application remediation processes, as well as review the powerful business and technical reports that reduce the time, cost and risk of Windows 7 migrations, Microsoft App-V projects and end-user computing initiatives. Visit App-DNA at TechEd booth 848 and experience the no-cost AppTitude test drive on the App-DNA site.

Released in April, the new AppTitude 5.0 release takes application compatibility automation to the next level by combining application insight with business detail. Now integrated with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Active Directory, AppTitude provides testing and remediation information, plus helps to determine the business value of migrating applications to a new OS like Windows 7 or to a virtual platform like Microsoft App-V. The award-winning AppTitude software enables enterprise IT teams to test and remediate applications, integrate user and device information, model delivery options, and automate application preparation. The end result is better business decisions, saving time, cost and risk in managing application compatibility for Windows 7, Internet Explorer, Microsoft App-V, Citrix XenDesktop and VDI projects.

“Talking with thousands of Microsoft customers, it’s a common theme that application compatibility is a challenge for Windows 7, Internet Explorer and virtualisation projects. The good news is automated software exists to speed this process and help the migration move forward,” explained Stephen Rose, Windows IT Pro Community Manager. “Tools like AppTitude from App-DNA offer IT pros a great way to solve application compatibility issues for projects today and long term solutions tomorrow. Determining if an application can be virtualised and offered to end-users is important, plus App-DNA offers the testing and remediation for Windows 7 or Internet Explorer projects. Tools like App-DNA solve problems with less effort and at a good value, so enterprises can move forward with deployments.”

“All IT staff just need to experience the software that can automate processes, drive innovation and most importantly, ease user-centric migration projects,” commented Samit Patel, App-DNA Vice-President of Technology and Solutions Group. “For enterprise customers, walking through the AppTitude process, and seeing application intelligence drive delivery decisions helps ensure AppTitude is the only choice for and enterprise migration project. For system integrators, the new AppTitude test drive gives global teams a preview of AppTitude before they take the software into Microsoft Jumpstart engagements at their customer sites.”
