Comprehensive media player app Media Center updates with Xbox One support

The Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app, Media Center, has just updated with support for Microsoft’s Xbox One video game console. The app had previously only been supported on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile devices. Media Center is a fairly comprehensive media player app that supports over 200 media file formats and all of the commonly used codecs.

Here’s the official app description:

Listen to music and watch movies comfortably with Media Center! This is a really multifunctional player! Using this app you can not only play audio and video, but also search for media content from SoundCloud; create and edit your own playlists, use scrobbling to Last.fm, and adjust the frequency of the sound using the equalizer. Media Center supports more than 200 of the most popular and topical media file formats! App supports all standard codecs Windows. You can also extend the list of supported codecs by purchasing the additional codecs that you need: FLV, MKV, VOB, QuickTime, MOV and others. There are no such audio and video that you would not be able to listen and watch with this player! Media Center is more than just media player! Install and enjoy!

In addition to playing a large number of media files, the Media Center app can also search for audio in SoundCloud and Last.fm, play radio via online radio channels, adjust audio levels with its equalizer, create and edit media playlists, and supports the use of subtitle files.
