Demerger from Parent Firm Demonstrates Growth, Leadership, Commitment

LONDON, UK and CHIC AGO, IL, USA– Dec 1, 2010 — App-DNA, the world leader in application compatibility management for enterprises, today announced the demerger of the business from Camwood Limited, the UK-based specialists in application logistics. In just two years, App-DNA has grown from a software subsidiary of the Camwood services group to a global independent software vendor. Headquartered in London and Chicago, App-DNA is the developer of the award-winning AppTitude application compatibility software platform. AppTitude accelerates application testing, remediation, and management for Microsoft Windows 7 migrations, Microsoft App-V and Citrix XenApp virtualisation projects, Citrix server management and Internet Explorer upgrade projects.

With the demerger, App-DNA retains the same investors, executive board and leadership team. App-DNA can be named a true software success story in a time of economic recession. The first commercial application testing and compatibility software solution on the market, App-DNA pioneered the use of heuristic algorithms to best determine the success of running applications in multi-enterprise environments. App-DNA has grown from a staff of just four in April 2008 to a rapidly growing team based in 11 cities across the United States, United Kingdom, France and Australia. App-DNA last month expanded into a much larger North American headquarters space in Schaumburg (Chicago), IL and in January 2011 will move into its state-of-the-art broader European headquarters offices in London’s financial district.

App-DNA plays an important role in desktop transformation programmes for many major enterprises in North America, Europe and Australia, including Fortune 100 and FTSE 100 firms. App-DNA has agreements with top global systems integrators and regional partners. A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and a member of the Microsoft System Center Alliance, App-DNA was recently selected by Microsoft to provide application compatibility licenses to Microsoft enterprises undertaking pilot and proof of concept engagements in the Microsoft Jumpstart program. Named Best of Show and Process Improvement Award winner at the Citrix Synergy 2010 Conference, App-DNA is a Citrix Technology Partner, the only application compatibility vendor in the Citrix Desktop Transformation Model ecosystem, and partners with Citrix consulting services to employ AppTitude in worldwide enterprise customer engagements. App-DNA was past recognised as a Gartner “Cool Vendor” and Network World “Management Company to Watch.”

“Customers, partners and technology leaders Microsoft and Citrix recognise the value App-DNA brings to current desktop transformation initiatives as well as long-term application management. It is a tremendous success story for App-DNA to go from inception to independence in such a short timeframe,” said Frank Foxall, CEO of Camwood. “App-DNA and the AppTitude software are vital to the success of enterprise application management, so the firm’s success will only continue.”

“We are at a point of natural departure for App-DNA to demerge from Camwood,” explained Mike Welling, CEO, App-DNA. “Best serving our significant worldwide enterprise customers, global and regional services partners and the talented individuals who make up App-DNA, an independent entity is key for moving forward. App-DNA looks forward to achieving even greater benchmarks in the near future and helping organisations achieve true application intelligence and application management through the AppTitude software platform.”
