Yesterday, many Windows Phone 7.8 users were reporting that they were receiving an update (build 8860) but it was unknown exactly what that build consisted of and if it fixed the ongoing Live Tile issue. Now, a newer build of the update has been released (build 8862) and it does contain fixes for the Live Tile issue.

The build string is 7.10.8862.144 and is the latest version of the update for Windows Phone 7.8. This update is set to fix the Live Tile issue that plagued WP7.8 users preventing them from seeing updated Live Tiles and the Tile causing continuous web requests which ultimately results in battery drain. Let us know in the comments below if you received this update and if it resolved the issue!
