Yet another screenshot of the upcoming Windows 8.1 Update 1 (also known as the Spring 2014 update) has leaked onto the internet. Although there is nothing new to note in this particular screenshot, seeing this screenshot appear in the hands of yet another leaker only reassures us that the chances of a leak are greater.
It’s been reported that Microsoft may release the official update build on MSDN in late March, with a public availability on April 1st as a free update – similar to how Windows 8.1 was for Windows 8. We also learned recently that we may indeed see this build released via Windows Update, rather than the Windows Store.
Recently, we learned that a leak may occur after January 14th, which is just two days away. Nothing is known about what new features the update will contain and the update may even just contain minor fixes and improvements.
We are on this topic like a hawk on its prey so stay tuned to WinBeta for the latest Windows 8.1 Update 1 news coverage.
Thanks for sending this in, Hubert!
