Microsoft is apparently working on a number of Windows 10 handsets which are expected to launch in the next few months, possible in the last quarter. While most of us are excited about the high-end Lumia 950 and 950 XL which are rumored to be the upcoming flagship devices to come out of Redmond labs, but rumors suggest that Microsoft has a number of Windows 10 handsets in the pipeline. It’s likely that we may get to see a few budget-friendly offerings from Microsoft running Windows 10 Mobile as well.
Not too long ago, another entry-level Windows Phone handset popped up on a benchmarking website GFXBench (via WinFuture.de), hinting at an extremely low-end handset with a model number RM-1130. As per the listing on GFXBench, the alleged device will sport a 3.8-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels as well as a dual-core Snapdragon processor. Although the listing mentions 180MB of RAM, we doubt it’s going to be that low, we can at least expect it to come with 512MB of RAM.
There’s no word from Microsoft about the existence any low-end device, but rumors suggest Microsoft will hold a separate press event in late-September where the company is officially expected to unveil Windows 10 Mobile, along with a bunch of new devices.
Stay tuned to WinBeta, we’ll update you as soon as we get to hear anything more about the upcoming Windows 10 Mobile handsets.
